2-day itinerary – Gran Paradiso guided climb
Meeting point in Chamonix in the middle of the day. Your guide will contact you a few days before with the meeting location and time.
Departure from Chamonix, we will drive through the Mont Blanc tunnel to the beautiful Valsavarenche basin in the Aosta Valley. It takes about 1h30 to arrive at the car park. From there, you will hike to the Chabod refuge, where you will spend the night.
Breakfast is around 4am, early start but totally worth it. You will then start your ascent to the Gran Paradiso. The first parts of the climb are mainly trail and moraine tracks until we reach the glacier. From there, you will climb to the summit. The last few meters are in mixed terrains.
⏱️ It takes approximately 4 to 6 hours to reach the summit.

It is now time to hike down. Depending on the forecast and pace there will be 2 options : either return via the same route or via the Emmanuel Victor hut.
Return to Chamonix in the afternoon.
