About our astronomic-bivouac:
This astronomic-bivouac is an extraordinary experience, an exceptional evening! A night in the mountains with a professional, but also an introduction to stargazing with a dinner specially prepared with local produce.
Accessible to everyone from the age of 6, you’ll be guided to the summit of Le Brévent, where you’ll spend the night in a tent.
Meet your guide at 3.30pm at the bottom of the Planpraz cable car to climb to the summit of Le Brévent at 2,525 m.
Programme:
- A short hike to reach the bivouac area (200 m ascent, approximately 30 to 45 min walk).
- Preparing and setting up the bivouac. Depending on the number of people, your guide will help you set up.
- After the effort: the comfort! With a dinner prepared in advance by our catering partner, which you will have to finalise with your guide on site (a Savoyard fondue with a mixture of Val d’Arly cheese, Val d’Arly charcuterie and raspberry financier).
- As soon as night falls, you’ll be able to observe the stars, constellations and nebulas in the company of our guide. ✨
- The next day, you’ll have breakfast at around 8am before packing up and heading back up to the Brévent cable car.
- The programme will finish mid/late morning at the summit of Le Brévent, with the option for those who wish to extend the experience by continuing on foot to Planpraz (on your own, as the guide returns via the cable car).
Your guide will contact you a few days before to check the weather. In the event of very bad weather, your guide can decide to cancel the tour. In case of unpredictable weather, we can use other more sheltered areas.
Includes:
- The services of a mountain professional passionate of astronomy.
- Evening meal and breakfast.
- Bivouac equipment (see more details in the equipment tab).
Not included:
- Your personal equipment.
- Lift pass (necessary for the activity).
– Return ticket for the Brévent cable car (can be purchased at the bottom of the Brévent cable car or directly online).

The level of a group generally corresponds to the level of the person least at ease. Our guides will adapt accordingly.
Equipment available:
- Tent, mattress, camping stove, gas, kitchen set.
Equipment to bring :
- 30 L backpack minimum per person.
- Warm clothing for the evening and night.
- 2 litres of water per person.
- A headlamp.
Possibility of renting a sleeping bag (30€/person) and a backpack (10€/person).
