PARADISIA ALPINE BOTANICAL GARDEN

Home to thousands of plant species!

La nature du Grand Paradis - The nature of Gran Paradiso

Paradisia is located in Valnontey, a hamlet in the commune of Cogne, in the heart of the Park, located at an altitude of 1700 m, covering an area of around 10,000 m2. The garden is home to over a thousand plant species. There are two itineraries for visiting this park: one marked in black, which starts in the central part characterized by rocks and the reproduction of certain environments, and the other marked in yellow, which tackles the more outer areas. Both routes can be followed with the help of a guide or an audioguide. The ideal time to visit is during the peak flowering period, from mid-June to mid-July. Free guided tours are available every day. But it does not stop there: the site also offers other activities such as themed guided tours and nature games. Each visitor receives a small leaflet outlining the main features of the garden, with full information on the plants.

MAISON DE COGNE GÉRARD-DAYNÉ ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

An example of Valle d'Aosta architecture!

Activités à Cogne - Activities in Cogne

Maison Gérard Dayné is one of the best examples of Aosta Valley traditional architecture. The varied nature of the complex and its specific characteristics, typical of the rural architecture of Cogne, are well suited to house a museum that tells the story of the traditional architecture, homes, family life, agricultural organisation and forest environment, mines, objects, sacred art, beliefs, legends, language, and literature of Aosta Valley in former times.

LILLAZ WATERFALLS

Fascinating place in Cogne!

L'incontournable du Grand Paradis - Gran Paradiso must-see

The walk around the waterfalls is a classic route for those staying in the Cogne valley in the summer season. During winter the waterfalls become the destination of choice for lovers of ice-climbing. A circular route that allows you to see all the waterfalls is an easy route (less than 2 km of walking and 100 meters of elevation gain).

HIKING THE MONT-SEUC

A panoramic view of the Cogne valley!

Randonnée pendant votre jour de repos - Hiking on your rest day

Round trip route from the gondola lift and back. The path takes around 2 hours and follows a circular route up the forested mountainside to the north-east of the Montseuc ridge (2328 meters), from there you can admire the panorama thanks to its central position in the Cogne valley.

MEADOWS OF SANT'ORSO

A symbolic place in Cogne!

Un lieu emblématique de Cogne - An emblematic place in Cogne

These days, such vast meadows are a rare sight. Few places in the world still have a genuinely natural recreation ground where children can run and play peacefully. It’s the ideal venue for famous winter competitions.
The Meadows of Sant’Orso are a symbolic representation of Cogne; a living museum redolent of the scent of mountain grasses and the everyday lives of farmers, do not miss the farmers market, where you will find all the specialties of the region. You can also visit the medieval complex of Sant’Orso to discover its artistic treasures, history, and legends.

It’s the outdoor spaces and especially the desire to share them that led us to create the agency in 2019.

Our primary goal is to help you make the most of the extraordinary experience the mountains have to offer. Whether you’re looking to recharge your batteries or challenge yourself physically, we’ve got an activity just for you!

With passion, sharing and confidence 🏔️
