Ski the Alps: France, Italy & Switzerland

Ski the Alps

One base camp, three countries, one week of skiing with a high mountain guide: the best of the Alps in one trip!

Ski Trip in the Alps:

Chamonix means three countries within ski reach. In a week, from a single anchor point in the heart of the valley, you ski the best snow in France, Italy and Switzerland — no logistics to manage, and never the same terrain twice.

Each morning your guide picks the resort according to snow and weather. One day the south-facing slopes of the Brévent, the next the Italian feel of Courmayeur, then the glacier descent of the Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi, and the vast Verbier area on the Swiss side. All you have to do is ski.

Our guides have known this massif for more than 25 years. They know where the good snow is at the right moment — and how far to take you. Confident beginner or off-piste skier, each day adjusts to your level and your wishes. The idea of this week is simple: the best of Alpine skiing in one trip — the skiing, of course, but also the atmosphere, the landscapes and the food that make the charm of our resorts.

Check in at the hotel, then meet your guide for a briefing over coffee: snow report, gear check, objectives for the week. Help getting your lift passes. Skiing starts tomorrow.

A warm-up day to find your legs and assess levels on the two south-facing areas above Chamonix, with direct views of the Mont Blanc range. Avalanche-safety introduction (transceiver) during the day.

Thirty minutes’ drive and you cross into the Aosta Valley. Atmosphere, terrain and food change entirely. The area faces the south side of Mont Blanc, with fine open runs and skiing among the larches — and the cappuccino stop that goes with it.

Chamonix’s legendary descent. Cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m), then an off-piste glacier descent — up to 20 km down to Chamonix depending on conditions. Glacier terrain; guiding and safety equipment provided. If level or conditions don’t allow it, the Aiguille du Midi and a nearby resort (Les Houches, Le Tour) take over. Often the highlight of the week.

Across to Switzerland and one of the largest areas in the Alps. Verbier, famous for its freeriding, also opens onto the 4 Vallées: open powder or groomed pistes, as you like. Back to Chamonix in the evening.

A final day on a more open, less steep area — ideal to finish well. An elegant village with renowned tables. We celebrate the week before parting.

Breakfast, then departure from Chamonix. Your guide can help arrange your return transfer or share final recommendations.

4-star hotel in Chamonix — La Folie Douce or equivalent.

The week’s base camp, at the foot of the slopes and a few minutes from the centre of Chamonix. Ski access, comfort and a real après-ski life: on-site bars and restaurants, evening music, terrace. A full wellness area to recover between big days — heated outdoor pool, sauna, hammam, gym and treatments. Double / twin rooms; single room on supplement (see FAQ).

The itinerary is provided for guidance only. Each evening, you’ll decide on the following day’s outing with your guide, depending on the snow, weather and the group’s fitness level.

Level required :

This trip suits all skiers, intermediate and expert. Your guides have options both for less experienced skiers and for those after committing high-mountain descents. You need to be comfortable skiing several hours a day, several days running; good fitness lets you make the most of the big days. The Vallée Blanche (Day 4), off-piste glacier terrain, calls for a confident level — but it stays optional, and your guide adapts the day to each person. Tell us your expectations and level at booking: your guide builds the week around you.

⛷️ Do I need to know how to ski? What level is required?

Yes, you need to know how to ski. The trip is open to all levels as long as you can ski red runs independently. Your guide will adapt each day to the group: wide pistes to build confidence and more challenging off-piste terrain for those who want more. Please let us know your level when booking.

❄️ What is the Vallée Blanche? Do I have the right level?

The Vallée Blanche is Chamonix’s legendary descent: an off-piste glacier route starting from the top of the Aiguille du Midi at 3,842 m and descending through the Mer de Glace — up to 20 km of skiing depending on conditions. This is not a marked ski run: it is a high-mountain glacier route, where you’ll be guided and equipped with all the necessary safety gear.

In terms of level, the terrain is not particularly steep, but you need to be an independent skier, comfortable in all snow conditions and able to handle a long descent. No previous off-piste or ski touring experience is required. Your guide will assess your level during the first few days and make the final decision on the spot. If the conditions or your level aren’t suitable, the trip up the Aiguille du Midi is worth it for the views alone, and you’ll ski at a nearby resort instead.

👥 Do I have to stay with the group all day?

Not at all. Everyone can enjoy the trip at their own pace: ski resort days can easily be split up if needed, allowing plenty of flexibility throughout the trip.

The Vallée Blanche is the exception: it’s a unique day in glaciated terrain. For safety reasons, your guide cannot split the group on that day.

🇫🇷 🇨🇭 🇮🇹 Which ski areas and countries will we ski in?

France (Brévent–Flégère, the Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi, Megève), Italy (Courmayeur) and Switzerland (Verbier / 4 Vallées). Each day’s destination depends on the snow and weather conditions, so the order may change.

🏠 Where will we stay?

In a 4-star hotel in the heart of Chamonix (La Folie Douce or equivalent), in a double or twin room, with a wellness area including a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. You’ll stay at the same hotel throughout the week.

📍 How do I get to Chamonix?

The nearest airport is Geneva (GVA), about 1 hour away. You can reach Chamonix by shuttle, public transport or taxi. We can recommend transfer companies. Transportation to Chamonix is not included.

🎿 Can I rent ski equipment locally?

Yes. There are plenty of ski rental shops in Chamonix. We work with Sanglard Sports and can arrange your rental — just let us know when booking.

👥 What is the group size? Is there a minimum age?

The group consists of 4 to 8 people, with a maximum of 8 skiers per guide. The minimum age is 18. Minors may be accepted on a case-by-case basis when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian — please contact us before booking. Larger groups are available upon request.

🏠 Can I have a single room?

The price is based on a double or twin room. A single room is available for an additional fee. For solo travellers, or if the group has an odd number of participants, the single supplement applies.

đź“‘ Which insurance do I need?

Repatriation and search and rescue insurance is mandatory. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. We can advise you if needed.

🗓️ What is the best time to go?

From January to March. January and February generally offer the coldest, driest snow, while March brings longer, sunnier days. Whatever the week, your guide will seek out the best conditions.

🗒️ Can the program change?

Yes, and that’s actually one of the advantages of the trip. The itinerary, ski areas and distances may vary depending on snow conditions, weather, terrain and the group’s level. Your guide will choose the best option each day — safety always comes first.

đź’° Deposit and Cancellation Policy?

For bookings made directly with Nuyama: a 35% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 35 days before departure. In the event of cancellation, we retain 5% more than 60 days before departure, 15% from 60 to 45 days, 30% from 44 to 30 days, 75% from 29 to 15 days, and 100% less than 15 days before departure (excluding insurance).

Bookings made through 57hours are subject to 57hours’ own terms and conditions.
