Discover the ecology of the old-growth Alpine forest, a fragile balance between nature and man, preserved for centuries in the snow-covered peaks of the Alps.
Accompanied by our experienced and passionate naturalist guides, you’ll plunge into the heart of this mysterious world to understand its unique ecosystem and its essential role in preserving biodiversity.
This hike will offer you an immersive experience, where the beauty of the Alpine landscape blends with a wealth of ecological knowledge.
Duration: by the day | Level: open to beginners/8-year-olds and over| Period: every Wednesday from July 8 to August 25, 2024 | Group size: 12 people maximum.
Meeting point: 9:00 AM at Col des Montets in Argentière, next to the Aiguilles Rouges Reserve Chalet.
Itinerary: our guides will adapt to the level of the group and suggest itineraries that may differ.
The guide reserves the right to modify the planned itinerary according to weather conditions and participants’ physical condition.
Equipment to bring:
- Backpack
- Hiking shoes
- Suitable hiking clothing
- Waterproof and windproof jacket
- Sunglasses
- Sun cream
- Cap or hat
- Hiking poles (optional)
- Packed lunch
- 1L water minimum
Included in the price:
– Supervision and advice from one of our hiking guides.
Not included:
– Meals (to be arranged), drinks, personal expenses, personal equipment.
– Anything not included in the “included in price” section.
